The District has a groundwater monitoring network for the Trinity Aquifer within the District. The monitor well network is used for monitoring water level changes to assess the current conditions of the aquifer and to record long term changes for better management and planning. There are 7 water wells currently monitored by continuous measurement with pressure transducers, where the well is telemetered and transmits the water level measurement to a publicly accessible website. The District works in partnership with the Texas Water Development Board to access this data and assistance with monitor well maintenance.
Above is a map of the current monitor wells. By clicking each well name, it will open up more descriptions, data, and hydrographs of the well.
Monitor Well Network Expansion Project
The District is currently working on expanding its monitor well network through a recent awarded grant through the Texas Water Development Board. As new wells are added, and information is available you will find the new postings here. The project will be completed by May 2028.
